The Future Is Not That Far Away

What will the world be like in 24 years? In the sci-fi novel 2034, we find one scenario.

Tom Dempsey, an adventurous, adolescent boy, runs away from home to escape family trouble. Leaving his city behind, he travels to a remote hilltop. But Tom leaves behind more than the big city in seeking refuge. Without warning, he is magically transported from the present day to an unknown future world.

Tom awakens in a strange, primitive setting. He meets a boy named Jake Foxfoot, and together they go to Jake’s village. It’s a place unlike Tom has ever seen before, like a scene out of a past age, with all modern conveniences gone. Tom joins Jake's tribe, eager for a new kind of adventure. But Tom’s exciting exploits soon take a dark turn when he finds the real reason he is now in the future beyond 2034.

An evil force threatens the peaceful village. Can Tom and Jake, two boys alone, prevent its destruction?

This imaginative fantasy adventure leaves plenty of room for sequels: 2034, Revisited; 2034, The Next Threat; 2034 etc. etc.
