"Okay, Mommy I can
do it!" These were the words spoken by a beautiful little girl
named Alexa Aigner. Alexa’s Going to Heaven is the
amazing and beautiful testament to Alexa, who was diagnosed with
Stage IV neuroblastoma, an aggressive childhood cancer when she
was almost two years old.
Crys Aigner has
written a loving and poignant tribute to her daughter. Crafted
with a mother’s compassion and enduring love, Aigner tells the
story of how her young daughter lived her life to the fullest
until her death in June of 2008. This achingly endearing
account of Alexa’s tenacity and strength is a masterpiece in
storytelling. Aigner’s book is filled with recollections of
this brave girl who inspired everyone around her while
understanding her own mortality.
You will laugh,
cry, and rejoice in the beauty of this deeply personal account
of a mother’s love and the strong spirit of her precious girl.
Alexa’s bright smile and sign of a thumb’s up to her mother was
always there—letting her Mom know that everything was okay.
Crys Aigner
bravely shares her incredible story, dedicating it to parents
and children who may be facing the most difficult thing in
life: the loss of a child. Written in simple language and
illustrated with stunning artwork by Crys Aigner’s mother,
Alexa’s Going to Heaven will touch your heart and soul. It
will enable you and your loved ones to comprehend death as a
passing, as in Alexa Aigner’s words, “It’s going to be okay.”
