Sightings of Bigfoot, or
Buk-Was, stir up a small Oregon town in this Depression-era
story by Holly Holcomb.
When livestock begin to
disappear, a group of local ranchers form a clandestine hunting
party. Local news reporter Scott Lawhorn stumbles upon this plot
and is forced to go along with them. While hunting the creatures
in the woods, the searchers soon discover that the tables have
turned and they are now the hunted.
The legend of Sasquatch,
Yeti, Bigfoot, Abominable Snowman, and what the Pacific
Northwest Native Americans call Buk-Was has stirred the
imagination of countless explorers and everyday people searching
for the truth about these mysterious creatures.
About the Author

Holly Holcomb grew up in
Southern Oregon, reading stories about local sightings of
Sasquatch, or Bigfoot. Her family has lived in the region for
over 100 years and her fascination with the creatures led her to
research her book. The mother of two, she lives in North Bend,
Oregon, and is currently working on a prequel to the book, set
60 years earlier. Holcomb’s creative inspiration comes from
Rudyard Kipling and Stephen King.
