On a special day with
Grandma, Emma and Sara make bread. They learn the difference
between white and wheat bread and Grandma tells them about life
on the farm. She tells of Harvest Time, when the neighbors from
the surrounding farms would come bringing their wagons and
tractors. They would help haul the grain from the fields. It was
a day for the whole family, the farmer’s wives brought pies and
bread to add to the delicious lunch. Children carried water to
the men and set tables for the noon meal.
Join Emma and Sara as
they learn all about Harvest Time.
