Children learn that if they
don’t brush, they might get a visit from someone other than the
Tooth Fairy in Jack the Tooth Rat.
Ross is excited when he loses
a tooth, because that means the Tooth Fairy will come when he
falls asleep. But Ross hasn’t done a good job of keeping his
teeth healthy and clean. The Tooth Fairy doesn’t want any teeth
with cavities.
When bad teeth fall out, a
different visitor comes calling who isn’t nearly as nice: Jack
the Tooth Rat!
This modern teaching tale
will delight children while imparting a valuable lesson on the
importance of taking good care of their teeth. With a rich sense
of humor and delightful illustrations, Ross’ experience with
Jack the Tooth Rat provides the perfect way of explaining that
teeth with cavities won’t get rewards.
About the Author

Author and illustrator Leah
Westen is a single mother of two grown children who continue to
inspire her writings and illustrations. When discussing with a
friend how much money the Tooth Fairy should leave, it occurred
to Leah that children with bad brushing habits would learn an
important lesson if she didn’t come – and so Jack the Tooth
Rat was born! This is Leah’s first publication though she
has plans for more children’s books in the future.
