King of the Ball

This is a whimsical story about a magical ball from space that lands on Earth. People are drawn to the ball, wondering what it is. The ball changes colors and patterns and the people want it for it’s ever-changing beauty and magic. Over a period of time, the ball continues to change, and one day a face appears on the beautiful morphing ball. What can this possibly mean and how do the people react to the change? A colorful and fun comic story.



About the Author



Stuart J. Knickerbocker is a Michigan native, who served in the Navy during WWII. He then attended Michigan State University, graduating in 1951 with a degree in Fine Arts. Upon marrying and relocating to Detroit, Stuart worked as an art teacher, before he began working for a large commercial film production company and eventually became an animator and production designer. Based on a storyboard he once did, he wrote and illustrated this very children’s book.
