About the Author

Kim Nga
Nguyen narrates this story through the eyes of her eight
year-old self when she lived in Phan Thiet, Vietnam, near
Saigon. This book started as a diary for Kim to pass down to her
children and is now a book that many children can relate to.
America is now Kim’s home. She enjoys a fulfilling life with her
family in Nederland, Texas
