SPLITTING HARES is a delightful, educational children’s book that creatively teaches young children easy and effective ways to learn how to divide.

It’s Buster Bunny’s seventh birthday and he and his friends head off to Kitty Land Amusement Park to celebrate Buster’s big day.   There, they learn how to divide when they must take turns splitting into different groups so that they can all go on the exciting rides  in the park.  So let’s see…if it’s 6 to a car, then 24 bunnies divided into groups of 6 equals – 4!   

About the Author

Julie Elrod is a mom who found fun and creative ways to teach her two children when she home schooled them.   Her hope is to inspire children to enjoy learning as they grow.  She has written four children’s books; two of them were best sellers.  She lives in Columbia, Maryland with her husband Ron, and their now teenage children, Wyatt and Kami.  The family owns and operates two martial arts schools in Maryland.
