The main theme is the grass isn't always greener on the other side.  Sprinkles the main character is a small round funny looking chicken that looks up to her best friend Red. Red is the rooster of the farm and tries to keep things in check.  Sprinkles would love to have Red's job and will do anything to get the position.  She wants to be exactly like her best friend.
