Amelia lives on a farm with
her Mum and Dad and Brothers and Sisters. Her favourite animals
are the horses. Her Dad says that if she is good he will let her
have the next foal. The night the mare gives birth to it’s foal,
Amelia is there helping her Dad and Brother. The foal is pure
black, but when it’s born Amelia can see all different colours
in its coat and calls him Rainbow. One morning when Amelia is
collecting the eggs from the barn, she is hit by lightning. She
is struck on the hand and later discovers a mark in the shape of
a star. When she recovers later that day, she is allowed to go
to the paddock to see Rainbow. While she is feeding him sugar
lumps, she wishes he could speak. All of a sudden Rainbow asks
her what happened to her that morning. When she realises that
she may have magical powers in her hand, she rubs his sides and
wishes he had wings. Two beautiful wings grow and so the
adventures begin.
