The Tale of Peter Rabbit
By Bic-Calamus

“A series of surprises,” in the immortal words of Emerson, is how Kingsley Reed Jeffery describes his writings, which have the tendency to take you off the beaten path and into a Technicolor dream world. But not only will you be surprised with his alternative take of a mischievous little bunny, you will be howling out loud at his cleverly written tale of droll humor and the insanely satirical and good-natured characters of Peter and company.

Jeffery gives his “neo-classical” version of everyone’s favorite ancient Roman lagomorph, Peterus rabbittus. Complete with social commentary on the Romans, (which the author deems essential to the book’s structure) this children’s tale takes on a zany twist as Peter, Boo Bear, and the slightly crazed Mr. MacGregor are presented to you once again for the first time in original Latin form.
