This story
is a twist on the old children's favorite, "'Twas the Night
Before Christmas". The story begins with the Zookeeper making
final rounds at the zoo on Christmas Eve and how even though all
the animals should be resting or hibernating, they gradually all
begin to stir and make quite a lot of commotion. What is going
on? Why are they all awake? How do you calm down a hippo? What
does it take to put a bear back to sleep? The Zookeeper does his
best to restore order, but gradually things get so out of hand
that a surprising person is needed to restore calm to what
should be a tranquil night.
