About the Author



Marlon Abrahams lives in Johannesburg, South Africa. As a child he loved retelling the plots of movies. Today the single parent enjoys telling stories to his three daughters. The illustrations in this book were drawn by the author’s daughter, Hannah, when she was 6 years old. Abrahams owns a communications company, writes a Parenting Column and is in the process of writing his next book, Thomas Learns to Swim. His books are inspired by the author’s visit to the picturesque nature reserve of Langebaan on the South African west coast, which hosts a variety of animals, including several hundred tortoises.
