After a baptism in water and
Spirit, author Haresh Patel found meaning in his life and hopes
to inspire others with his autobiography Thoughts from the
Cosmic Field in the Life of a Thinking Insect [a Latter-day
Saint].
Haresh lives in a corrupt
society where it’s extremely hard to survive. But his intense
love for his mother makes him try even harder. When his mother
was a seven-year-old girl, she garlanded Gandhi at Bhadran while
he was on his famous Dandi March in 1930. Haresh was born in
Bhadran in 1943, prior to India’s Partition. Haresh started his
spiritual journey at 12 after having read Gandhi’s autobiography
My Experiments with Truth. It ignited his consciousness
and led him to be a jurist. He studied most of the scriptures of
people and philosophy, but, being truthful, he could not succeed
in a corrupt society.
Led to LDS Church in Chicago
in 1994, Haresh was baptized and ordained into Aaronic
Priesthood. He was gifted with Holy Ghost. On October 22 of the
same year, he was mysteriously transformed into Christ
Consciousness. At the insistence of Elder James Maddux, Haresh
has recorded his Epistolary Autobiography from 1994 up to 2008.
Gandhi experimented with Truth
all his life. He never experienced it. Unlike Gandhi, Haresh
Patel has not only experienced Truth, he lives it from moment to
moment in accordance with inner promptings from the Holy Ghost.
This book is a story of Haresh,
who is He Himself.
About the Author

Elder James Maddux of LDS
Church inspired Haresh Patel to record his story up to his
Baptism and his Priesthood in the LDS Church. His writing is
addressed to his son Binoy to satisfy his curiosity about his
father’s 49 years of an apparently superfluous life and how he
found meaning in it, at 65.
