The front cover of "From Exile to Excision" with Moses was chosen because he is given so much respect in the Koran as well as Torah. I saw it about the same time as a sculpture called "The Golden Calf" was sold for an abhorrently large amount of money, and two weeks later...the credit crunch hit. if that's not an act of God, in my lifetime, I don't know what is. In "From Exile to Excision" I dedicate the poem "Take Me Back" to Madoff for obvious reasons:

Take Me Back

Take me down to the garden of my childhood,
Back down the river of yesteryear.
Lead me down the daisy avenue of the springtime of my youth.
Take me where the sky blew free and the air was clear.

Stroll with me down the highway of my middle years,
Through the spreadsheets coffee breaks and city nights,
The exclusive private jokes, the yen, the dollars and pound notes,
And the profit margins protecting all my rights.

Then sit with me in the truth of my tomorrow.
Wish me luck, and then please will you wish me well.
Pick up all your belongings on the way to the door,
And then please take me back to my cell.
